Leading the Circular Economy in IT Solutions

As the Sustainability and Client Engagement Lead, I work at the heart of Foxway’s mission, advocating for Teqcycle, Foxway’s portfolio of premium refurbished laptops and phones. My role is about creating a deeper understanding and connection to the value of refurbished devices within our teams and among our clients. I will work closely with our sales teams, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to confidently present and promote the benefits of choosing refurbished over new. Additionally, I will engage directly with Chief Sustainability Officers (CSOs) and industry leaders, explaining the substantial environmental and economic advantages of our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services and refurbished products. Although transitioning and implementing refurbished devices is slow due to a lack of awareness and familiarity, my goal is to make the case so compelling that choosing refurbished becomes the obvious, easy choice

Driving Sustainability and Client change

Simply, Teqcycle gives used devices a second (or even third) life while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance. Having witnessed this process firsthand, I can confidently attest to the quality and care that goes into each device and walk you through the meticulous refurbishing process that Teqcycle devices undergo. Each unit begins its journey in our warehouse in Estonia, where data is securely wiped to ensure 100% data protection for previous users. After that, we conduct thorough functionality and visual testing to evaluate quality. Our refurbishing team then meticulously restores each device, which includes repainting the back cover and top case, reprinting the keyboard, re-skinning the trackpad, and polishing the screen. They not only restore external aesthetics to ensure that the devices look and feel like new but also ensure devices meet our rigorous internal quality standards, such as a battery capacity of a minimum 80%. The end result is a premium refurbished product that rivals new devices in aesthetics and performance. The quality of Foxway’s refurbishing process is so high that even industry leaders, like a Vice President of one of our OEM partner's Services & Solutions Group, couldn’t distinguish between a Teqcycle product and a brand-new Lenovo device.

Internally, success will start when every Foxway employee uses a refurbished device. Externally, success will be measured by seeing refurbished devices included in every bid and tender process, making them entirely part of our offerings.
